Remote Desktop doesn’t allow saved credentials

Symptom:

You recieve the error "Your system administrator does not allow the use of save credentials to log on to the remote computer (IP or host name) because its identity is not fully verified. Please enter new credentials"


Environment:

Primary Product Module : Microsoft Windows

Primary Product Version : Windows 10


Cause:
A local group policy is preventing you from saving credentials for remote computers.


Resolution:
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials with NTLM-only server authentication

1. Open up Local Group Policy Editor by running “gpedit.msc”.



2.  Navigate to “Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Credentials Delegation”.



3.  Open the Setting “Allow Delegating Saved Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication”, and set it to Enabled.



4. After which click on the “Show” button, and add your server name.  (TERMSRV/Hostname or TERMSRV/*)  Hit, the OK button and you should be good to go.



5. After setting the policy you must push this update through

      a) Open an administrative command prompt

      b) Run the command "gpupdate /force"
